Parameters:

uri - target URI, if starting with "/" it will be prepended with HttpClient.baseUrl(String) when available

the appropriate sending or receiving contract

Parameters:

uri - target URI, if starting with "/" it will be prepended with HttpClient.baseUrl(String) when available
